Why design ZK World?

Since the Bitcoin code was open-sourced in 2009, many blockchain projects have appeared on the Internet, and meaningful blockchain projects have become the experimental field of blockchain technology, which has certain reference significance for the development and maturity of blockchain technology. In addition, there are some projects that expand the boundaries of blockchain technology from different perspectives, such as DEFI projects such as UNISWAP. Countless developers and community members have participated in and witnessed the rapid development of blockchain technology, but the blockchain industry still faces many challenges both from a technical perspective and from an industry application perspective.

The main problems faced by blockchain technology:

(1) There is a lack of new smart contract platforms. The existing smart contract platforms are mainly based on Proof of Work (POW), and the consensus mechanism of Proof of Work (POW) is difficult to be deployed on a large scale by industry applications.

(2) Compatibility between different blockchain technologies, such as the Bitcoin ecology based on the UTXO model and the Ethereum ecology based on the Account model are difficult to have compatibility.

(3) The consensus mechanism itself lacks flexibility. Because of the different participants, the requirements for the consensus mechanism are different in the public chain and the alliance chain.

(4) Lack of consideration of industry compliance, such as the identity and KYC parts required by the financial industry, are difficult to guarantee in the existing blockchain system.

(5) The current blockchain public chain infrastructure is still gradually improving, because it is difficult to have a public chain that can produce large-scale applications due to the constraints of transaction speed and security.

The existing blockchain system is very closed. At present, the trigger conditions of most smart contracts mostly come from the blockchain system itself, and there are very few trigger conditions from the outside world, lacking interaction with the real world.
